UK Election Hustings

Posted on: 31 May 2017

Annandale Mosque was happy to open its doors to the election Hustings. This event was earlier cancelled because of the terrorist attacks in Manchester. Shaykh Hassan Rabbani (Imam of Annandale Mosque) welcomed everyone to the mosque for the hustings. He re-iterated that these barbaric terrorists had nothing to do with Islam.

The Hustings ran very well. There was plenty of debate as parties clashed with each other, in particular the conservative party candidate who often was met with jeers and tough questions. The Green's candidate did very well. All the best of luck to them all.

The following candidates participated:

Deidre Brock (SNP), Martin Veart (Lib Dem), Lorna Slater (Green), Iain McGill (Cons),

Gordon Munro (Lab)
